Rick Allen, mainly shoots all of his images using Black & White film, but occasionally he will find a particular place and model he wants to capture in color. When he finds these opportunities he will create images using both media. Some galleries have asked him to recreate images in color to create a different look to meet their needs.

Colorado Lifestyles are images created with nude models around structures found along the many hiking trails within the forest and plains. Most of these structures are abandoned and have been for many years. You will see the remains of many cabins, mining shacks, one-room schoolhouses and corrals. These images will also feature abandoned equipment at various locations.

Although, the photographer does not get to spend as much time as he desires in the desert, he still has opportunities to create images of beautiful women in the beautiful deserts of the south west. His desert images include sand dunes, desert flora and of course beautiful nude female models to add that extra touch of beauty.

Images feature native landscapes to the Colorado and Rocky Mountains. Each unique shot enhances the natural beauty of both landscape and model.

The women for these shots should be commended for the endeavors to make beautiful artistic images in the snow. You will see models in as much as 2 feet of snow, enjoying the moment and being the first to track new snow.

Rick Allen enjoys working with models around water. He captures the beauty of lakes, streams and waterfalls, but enhances them with the beauty of the female nude form. Waterfalls are his favorite, but require cunning and patience to create, as they are areas frequented by tourist. To protect the models, these shots are usually created at times when lighting is not at it's best.
